Waxing is a form of hair removal where a wax combination is applied to the skin over unwanted hair and removed using a paper strip. This means that the wax, hair and dead skin cells are removed ensuring hair free and smooth skin.
You must ensure you have sufficient hair growth (between 8mm and 12mm) or approximately 3 weeks growth after a shave to make sure we get the best results. Short, stubbly hair is much more difficult to remove so please ensure you have grown your hair prior to your treatment.
I can assure you that I do not double dip spatulas so our wax is completely safe and contamination free, prioritising your safety at all times.
Benefits of Waxing
Waxing is long lasting. Areas of the body where hair has been removed by wax will not grow back from 2 – 8 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. The hair is removed from the root so that hairs grow back with a tapered end. This means that when the hair does grow back, it is not coarse like shaved hair, it is much softer. Hair growth is not increased by waxing and will eventually allow the new hair to grow through at the same rate and thinner than it was. It does take a few treatments to ensure that the rate of hair growth is even.
Will it hurt?
Your pain threshold has a lot to answer for. If you do experience discomfort, it will only be very brief. After your first few waxes, the discomfort will lessen as the hair grows back thinner and you also get used to your hair being removed by wax.
